This nationally recognised course incorporates CPPACC4007 – Conduct Streetscape Access Audits, a unit of competency from CPP40821 Certificate IV in Access Consulting and CPP50721 Diploma of Access Consulting.

Many people are required to identify the key access issues that create barriers for people with disabilities and other access challenges when moving through and using facilities such as streetscapes, activity centres and related areas. Identification of these barriers, can be used to assist in the development of action plans for upgrade of facilities, appropriately maintaining facilities, and improving management practices.

The Course is ideal for people who have responsibility for reviewing, planning, designing, managing or maintaining streetscapes, activity centres and related outdoor areas, as well as those who are required to identify the physical access barriers as well as other practical issues that can impact on the usability of the space. It includes an overview of Universal Design and relevant access legislation as well as a practical look at the key elements that need to be addressed to improve ‘access for all’.

The process for undertaking of an access audit of the space as well as a comprehensive checklist reporting template are also provided.

2 days face to face training session (delivered live online via Zoom) plus 2 months to complete all assignment material. Course fees are exempt from GST.
