Universal Design and access in parks, playgrounds and streetscapes means considering the access and inclusion needs of all users. Children, parents, grandparents and other carers must be considered if these spaces are to provide enjoyable, stress free experiences for everyone. Consideration must also be given to a wide range of elements and installations that will have an impact on the functionality and usability of these spaces and to support and enhance opportunities for inclusion for everyone.

This 1 day session provides an overview of the key Universal Design and access issues to consider in designing, developing and maintaining these spaces to maximise usage for everyone.
