Delivered Live Online via Zoom

New access provisions for housing have been introduced into the National Construction Code (NCC). This means there are significant changes to requirements for housing, which will improve livability to homes across Australia.

These changes are detailed in the ABCB Livable Housing Design Standard that is referenced by the NCC.

It is important for all professionals working in the design and development of housing, as well as building certifiers and surveyors responsible for certification of new dwellings, to understand and apply these provisions appropriately.

It will also be important for specified professionals to be able to undertake assessments of the new provisions to support certification and confirm compliance to enhance the efficiency of planning and building approval processes.

This 1.25 hour training session will provide an overview of the new access provisions relating to housing in the NCC and an overview of the ABCB Livable Housing Design Standard.

Presented by industry expert and Access Institute Director (Ms) Joe Manton.
